I'm guessing the 7 Angry Tests is made by the same person who made 12 Angry Tests? That was a brilliant map-pack. Thanks for all the info, I'm really looking forwards to getting my hands on this XD

They did initially have Hammer support during the early beta but they turned it off for the rest of it. Probably because they didn't want anybody to break levels created with the editor in Hammer and wail about it. Co-op? Yeah, that should be happening but it won't be avalible during the initial launch. Doesn't appear hard to add though. Just make a seperate list and a tick box for Co-op spawning.

Oh yeah, you can also have levels put into a collection on Steam Workshop so people can effectively make Map Packs that should work with each other. I think there's one called 7 Angry Tests. Tricky stuff. :P

That's some good info you've got there. Of course, I never did expect it to be better than just using Hammer but if you can port the maps to Hammer that'll make the actual map editing part of it so much easier - considering that's what I found worse of all. If ever I wanted to make a proper custom mini-campaign thing, making the basics of each map in the editor is a lot easier. Also, any word on co-op support for maps?

Am I giving away anything if I said I was one of the initial Beta testers for this level editor? Basically, you carve the room out, set portable surfaces, pick objects, link them to switches or change properties, and playtest them (although you have to rebuild it every time since Source pre-compiles levels). The last time I tried it, you can't assign any advance details such as warning labels, world portals, portal gun mono type, different textures, or external models. However, you can still port the level over into Hammer to add these if you wish.

Also, I'm not sure if they addressed this but all levels created are saved locally. This means they will not transer to another computer if you log on with your steam account. This is one of the reasons why I have a map known as Vertigo [V1] with retractable panels that were supposed to reveal an extra room but the editor kept crashing on me. Probably a limit that the editor didn't tell me about. Again, this was a few months back... Febuary or March, I think.

Its most likely broken, you can either get a new one sent by Activision or return it to where you got it from to get a new copy of the game - both options won't cost you but I would presume it'd be quicker to return the game rather than wait for Activision to send you a new Portal. But, if you would rather Activision send you a new portal, you just need to go to Activision's warranty page. A quick Google and you'll find it.
